How to Get More YouTube Subscribers

Getting friends and subscribers on YouTube may not seem too important, but the return on investment is ridiculously high. If I were to rate the value of certain activity on YouTube it would go as follows.

5) Views

4) Thumbs Up

3) Comments

2) Friends

1) Subscribers

Friendship and subscribing are the two most important things a person can do for your channel.

Friending is crucial because it’s someone raising their hand and telling you they have enough interest in what you have to say to associate with you on their own channel. This also shows that you are a likeable person on YouTube, and YouTube takes note of that. Remember, YouTube is also a social media site, and needs to be valued as such when it comes to interacting with other people.

Your friends list can also be a powerful tool when it comes to looking for people to joint venture with, look for affiliates, and sending a quick message out to them through the YouTube message system that would have a new video, and would appreciate it if they could send it out to their lists and subscribers.

Someone subscribing is the most valuable due to a few things happened here.

First of all, this is the ultimate stance of a fan, and we all know that people are fans just before they are buyers.

Second, having a large subscriber base is one of the most important things YouTube looks at when deciding things like, which videos to feature, who to select to become a YouTube partner, and even placement of your video in their search engine.

Third, when someone subscribes to your channel, and you make a video; YouTube updates them through the YouTube home page, and a weekly update via email of new videos that you made. It’s an auto-responder that you do not have to pay for or even think about. It’s done for you!

So how do you get friends and subscribers?

When you make a video you need to remember to have a call to action at the end. Of course you want to tell people about your site, and urge them to visit, but there are a lot of people that do not want to go to your site right away, and want to poke around your channel, and get to know you better. So within your call to action also tell them to subscribe to your channel to be the first to get your new video content as it comes out, or something like that. When people are watching videos they are very passive. They do not think to subscribe unless you tell them to. When you do this friend tends to come with it as well.
